Carlota Perez

Professor of Technology and Socio-Economic Development. Perez, who currently resides in United Kingdom, is Honorary Research Fellow at SPRU, University of Sussex, and Visiting Senior Research Fellow at the Cambridge Endowment for Research in Finance (CERF), University of Cambridge. Perez has held posts in the government of Venezuela, first in the Institute of Foreign Commerce in relation with the technology aspects of the North-South Dialogue (1975-1977), later as founding Director of Technology in the Ministry of Industry (1980-1983). She is perhaps most famous for her development of the concept of the “Techno-Economic Paradigm Shift”.
